2024 Annual Wells Report

The Mozambique Initiative is excited to share the final well numbers for 2024. A wells report, typically released quarterly, details the progress and completion of fresh water wells in communities across Mozambique.

In 2024, 11 wells were completed. All of these wells were solar tower wells, which you can learn more about here. Three more wells remain in-progress as of the end of 2024. An estimated 29, 300 people will benefit from the access to this clean water.

• June: Mavila UMC
• June: Maqueze UMC Hospital
• August: Xiyindlwane LC - Panda
• October: Nhatsanga UMC
• November: Chongoene 2 LC
• November: Matsuquetela 2 LC
• November: Betel LC
• December: Manga UMC
